About MOSHTIP

I was at a South of Salem gig. Black Lakes were the support act, just starting a new tour with no merch. At the end of their set, Will, the lead singer, said: "If you want to help us get home, come and find us at the bar. Or in a dark alley."

After South of Salem finished, I wanted to get to the merch table. I couldn't get anywhere near it. It was five deep with fans who all felt exactly the same way I did.

Two bands, the same night, and no simple way for everyone in that room to put money directly in their hands.

I stood there and thought: what if everyone in this room tipped just £1? With a capacity of 500 that would be £500 that they never had. That is where the idea was born. That was the moment MOSHTIP was born.

So, I built it.

What MOSHTIP does

MOSHTIP lets fans tip artists directly at live gigs. QR codes go up around the venue before the show. When the music moves you, you scan the code, pick the artist, and tip whatever feels right. No app. No account

100% of every tip goes directly to the artist. Nobody takes a cut.

Why MOSHTIP matters

The average working musician in the UK earns less than a living wage from music. They play because they love it and they love you. They tour on a shoestring, sleep in vans, and sell merch at the end of the night just to cover the fuel home.

The rock and metal community has always shown up for its artists. MOSHTIP gives that support a direct route, straight from the fan's phone to the artist's bank account.

If you are a fan, next time a band blows your mind you will know what to do.

If you are an artist, your fans already want to tip you. Let them.

No artist should have to beg for their art.
